Perfect Storm

My prediction of a low voter turn out in Eastern PA was wrong, wrong and wrong.  I thought that the power outages, together with turmoil engendered by Sandy, would reduce voter turn out in Philadelphia and surrounding Counties.  That didn’t happen.  To the contrary, voting was very high and they came out for Obama.

Did Sandy help the President in PA and elsewhere?  Probably.  But so did many other factors. The storm of voter participation, however, was the largest component of the convincing victory by Obama in PA and the nation.

Also, I have been informed by a reader that the Lincoln quote I repeated may not be Lincoln.  I will look into this and report on it when and if I can reach conclusion.
