Back Talk Requested: What Should PLBT Be Covering?

On July 7, 2008 I posted the first post on this blog. It is now the tenth anniversary of Overlawyered, the oldest legal blog, which was celebrating its ninth at the time of our initial post. I don’t read Overlawyered very often and I didn’t put it in the blogroll. Yet, it is among the most read legal blogs in the AVVO rankings, so a large number of people must like what it says. Should I put it in the blogroll? What about Above the Law or Alt House, two other high-ranking blogs I have criticized a few times this year? Should I blogroll them?

At the threshold of the blog’s first anniversary, it seems like a very good time to ask readers what they like, don’t like or would like to see in the coming year.

Some legal blogs have lots of political commentary. PLBT hasn’t done much of that. Would you like to see more politics in PLBT?

I haven’t done too many posts lately about the nuts and bolts of practical fields of the law, such as Landlord-Tenant. Should PLBT have more of that? Should they be expanded to more areas, say, family law?

Should there be more guest posts by other lawyers on their fields of practice? Perhaps a family lawyer could become a regular contributer. Perhaps we could receive questions and have them answered by lawyers who are recognized authorities on the specific topic involved. Tell me what you think.

If you haven’t commented because you don’t know what to say about the topic at hand, now is your chance. The topic at hand is what’s on your mind.

Back Talk Requested.
