Pittsburgh Legal Newslog: Judge Conti Wins Inns of Court Award.

The American Inns of Court has announced the granting of its 2009 Professionalism Award for the Third Circuit of the federal appellate courts, to US District Judge Joy Flowers Conti of the Western District of Pennsylvania and Senior Judge Louis H. Pollak of the US District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Judge Conti, was the first Summa Cum Laude graduate of Duquesne Law School in 1973 and has served as a professor in that Law School, President of the Allegheny County Bar Association and a partner in two prominent Pittsburgh law firms, prior to her appointment to the US District Court.
